To get to the ceremony by public transportation:

You will want to get to one of the Regional Rail Stations. The stations in Philadelphia are 30th Street Station, Suburban Station, and Market East Station. From any of these, you can purchase a 1-way or round-trip ticket on the R3 to Media/Elwyn. There is also an R3 to West Trenton, which is the WRONG TRAIN. When you purchase your ticket, tell them you're going to the Swarthmore station on the R3, and they will give you a "Zone 3" ticket. Board the train and get off it at the Swarthmore station (the trip takes around 20-30 minutes).

At the Swarthmore station, get off the train and walk north (the side of the tracks your train arrived on) up Chester Road. Take a left on Elm, and then another left on Whittier Place. You should see a sign designating the Quaker Meeting House. If you run into any trouble, you should ask one of the friendly and helpful Swarthmore residents. Perhaps you'll have a memorable encounter!

To get to 30th Street Station by public transportation:

Once you get your bags, find your way to the Airport SEPTA station, and get on the R1 Regional Rail train towards Philadelphia. The ticket should cost around $6. You can buy your ticket on the train. Stay on the train until the 30th Street Station stop. From there, you can take further public transit to see Philadelphia, get to your hotel, and even get to the ceremony (see above for information about getting from 30th Street Station to the Ceremony).
